Buffalo Power Solutions sells new, used and surplus generator sets to commercial and industrial buyers. We search across every major brand, match the unit to your load, fuel and site, and arrange delivery. Equipment sales are nationwide; startup, installation and ongoing service come from our Texas branches, covering Texas and Louisiana.

The Right Unit on Your Schedule

Buying a generator usually comes down to three things that pull against each other: the specification you need, the price you can approve and the date the unit has to be on site. A factory order may meet the first two and miss the third by months.

Because we are not tied to one manufacturer, we can put new, used and surplus options side by side and let you trade them off with real numbers for cost, hours and delivery. Once you choose, we handle the freight to your site.

What We Sell

New Generator Sets

Current production units built to your voltage, enclosure and emissions requirements.

Used Generator Sets

Pre-owned units with known hours and service history, for standby duty or a tight budget.

Surplus Equipment

Unused or lightly used units from cancelled or oversupplied projects, often available far sooner than a factory order.

Diesel and Natural Gas

Diesel sets for on-site fuel storage and natural gas sets for sites with a reliable pipeline supply.

Buying a Generator: Common Questions

Do you sell only one brand of generator?

No. We are not tied to a single manufacturer, so we look across every major brand and across new, used and surplus stock to find a unit that fits your load, fuel and schedule. That matters most when the project date is fixed and the factory lead time on a new set will not meet it.

Should I buy a new or a used generator?

New makes sense when you need a full factory warranty, a current emissions certification or a specification only the factory can build. A used or surplus unit can save money and months of waiting for standby duty, temporary projects or a backup to an existing plant. We lay out both options side by side so you can compare cost, hours and delivery.

How do I know a used generator is in good condition?

Ask for the engine hours, the maintenance history and a record of a test under load, and see the unit in person or on video before you commit. Load bank testing is one of our core services, so ask us to put a used unit under load before it ships and you will know how it performs, not just that it starts.

Can you ship a generator outside Texas?

Yes. Equipment sales are nationwide and we arrange the freight. Installation, startup and long-term service come from our Texas branches, covering Texas and Louisiana, with regional coverage in Oklahoma, Arkansas and New Mexico. Outside those areas, your local electrical contractor sets and connects the unit, and we can share the documentation they need.

What does a commercial generator cost?

Price depends on output, fuel, enclosure, emissions rating, condition and how soon you need the unit, so we do not publish a price list. Send us the load, voltage, fuel and delivery date and we will come back with options at different price points, each with its hours, condition and delivery date stated plainly.
